Two Founders, Two Products: The Guardify Story From Beirut

Most technology companies pick one lane. Guardify, a Beirut startup founded in 2026, decided to run two at once. On one side it sells cloud, cybersecurity, and software services to businesses. On the other it builds TapMetic, a line of NFC digital business cards that let people share their contact details with a single tap.

The company is the work of two co-founders, Cedric Kohof, who serves as chief executive, and Joe Khalil, its chief technology officer. Both describe Guardify as a way to make enterprise technology easier for smaller companies to reach, combining business strategy, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and software development under one roof.

    What Guardify Actually Sells

Through its main brand, Guardify.cloud, the company offers cloud migration and managed hosting, security work such as vulnerability assessments and incident response, and software engineering for web apps and APIs. It also handles IT support and brand design. Guardify says new clients start with a free 30-minute consultation and can add enterprise service-level agreements with 24/7 support.

The second product carries its own name. TapMetic replaces paper business cards with NFC-enabled cards and updatable digital profiles. A tap shares a contact, and the profile can hold links, catalogs, and analytics that track how often a card is used. TapMetic's website credits Guardify as its maker, describing the product as "visioned and crafted by Guardify."

    The Bet Behind the Company

Kohof and Khalil started Guardify with a simple argument: that secure, well-built technology should not be reserved for large enterprises with big budgets. They point to startups and small and medium businesses as the clients they most want to serve, the ones trying to modernize without an in-house IT department.

That framing shows up in how the founders talk about the early days. "When we started Guardify, many people told us it wouldn't work," they said. "We chose to believe in our vision instead of their doubts. Today, we're building what they couldn't see, and we're only getting started."

A Team of Four and a Few First Steps

Guardify remains small, with a team of four so far. The founders say the company has launched both Guardify.cloud and TapMetic and was reportedly featured by UAE Stories, a milestone they single out in their account of the past year. They also report taking part in their first startup event, Reform Starts Young, where they ran a debut pop-up to introduce the products.

Next on the list is another technology project the team says it is developing now, alongside its existing cloud, cybersecurity, software, and digital networking work. For a 2026 startup working out of Beirut, the near-term goal is narrower than the pitch: build a solid base in Lebanon first, then look toward the rest of the Middle East.
