The Taaruf team celebrates on stage with a cake, surrounded by sparkler fountains, next to a Taaruf heart sign and a banner about the $400K Shark Tank Lebanon offer.

Taaruf measures its best results in a way most apps would avoid. Around 5,000 users have reported deleting the app after starting a relationship. For founder and CEO Kamal Frenn, that is exactly the point.

A dating app shaped by Lebanese culture

Founded in 2025 and based in Zahle, Taaruf helps adults aged 20 and above meet people who want a serious relationship. It is available on iOS and Android, and it connects singles living in Lebanon with those across the diaspora.

Frenn started the app to help Lebanese singles find meaningful relationships wherever they live. Through Megabee, the team built a product that reflects Lebanese culture and the realities of dating within the community. The aim was to make it easier to meet people beyond familiar social circles.

    Verified profiles and live matchmaking

Users can verify their profiles, and reporting and blocking tools help keep the experience safer. The company wants introductions to feel natural, so connections have room to grow into lasting relationships.

Taaruf also works offline. It runs matchmaking activities and events, and it publishes relatable social content for its audience. The brand has taken part in Creator Summit, Glamour Show, and Experia, meeting its community through live matchmaking activities.

80,000 monthly users, no paid ads

Taaruf has grown to approximately 80,000 monthly active users and 13,000 daily active users. Its social media channels count around 700,000 followers. All of that growth came without paid advertising.

A $400,000 offer on Shark Tank Lebanon

In October 2026, Taaruf appeared on Shark Tank Lebanon on LBC. On air, Georges Karam offered $400,000 for 30% of the company.

For Frenn, the app, the content, and the events all serve one goal: helping people find someone they can build a future with. "Our biggest success is when someone deletes Taaruf because they've found the person they were looking for," he said.
