nomad is a mobile application that handles the everyday parts of banking from a phone. Customers open an account, move money, and manage their cards inside the app, without the process starting at a counter. BLC Bank founded the product in 2026 and runs it out of Beirut.
Signing Up Without Starting at a Branch
Account opening is the first thing nomad changes. Sign-up is digital, takes minutes, and can be done at any time and from anywhere, which removes the scheduling problem that usually comes first.
From there, customers can open Fresh USD and LBP digital accounts in a few steps. Both currencies sit in the same app, which matters in a market where people routinely hold and spend in each.
Sending, Topping Up, and Getting Cash Out
Money movement runs through the app. Customers can send, receive, and request funds inside nomad, and top up a digital account instantly using any accepted credit or debit card.
Cash still has a place. Users can cash in and out at any BLC ATM or branch, with or without a physical card in hand, so the app does not cut people off from the bank's physical network.
Two Kinds of Card and a QR Code at the Till
Cards come in both forms. A customer can request a virtual card for online use and a physical card for everyday spending, both from inside the app.
Payments are not limited to plastic. nomad users can pay through payment links or at a merchant's point of sale by scanning a QR code, which is the same mechanic the teaser campaign is training people to use on the street.
