Alfa took its 5G network off the spec sheet and onto the exhibition floor at Project Lebanon, one of the biggest trade exhibitions in Lebanon for construction and engineering. At the Alfa 5G booth, visitors did not just hear about the network. They tested it on their own mobile devices.
A 5G test on visitors' own phones
The booth was built around direct use. Visitors connected to Alfa 5G with the phones they brought, then joined special activations set up at the stand. At a show focused on construction and engineering, it gave guests a practical feel for the network rather than a presentation about it.
Ministers and Alfa leadership at the stand
H.E. Joe Issa El Khoury, Minister of Industry, visited the Alfa stand while representing Prime Minister Nawaf Salam. Many guests and visitors joined him.
Alfa Chairman and CEO Rafic El Haddad represented H.E. Charles Hage, Minister of Telecommunications, at the conference and delivered the minister's address. El Haddad also stopped by the Alfa stand to try Alfa 5G for himself.
Phase 1 sites, from the airport to Batroun
The exhibition comes as Alfa continues deploying 5G sites in phase 1. Areas named for this phase include Rafic Hariri International Airport, Beirut, Hamra, Achrafieh, Downtown, Jbeil, Jounieh, Zahle and Batroun, along with other select areas.
Beyond Speed, Closer to Life
Alfa's 5G campaign runs under the slogan "Beyond Speed, Closer to Life." Its message is that 5G should be judged by more than download speed. Alfa frames it as a network that brings people closer to the experiences, connections and possibilities that move life forward.
