Sam Kamra started out working labour-intensive jobs, seven days a week. Today the Toronto real estate entrepreneur counts more than $1 billion in career property sales, and he is the founder of Listing.ca, an MLS search platform that shows every Ontario listing price in both Canadian dollars and Bitcoin.

Now the Lebanese-Canadian founder is getting ready for a launch outside property altogether: a large-scale vacation booking platform.

The eldest of seven, raised on hard work

Sam is the eldest of seven children, and he grew up with nothing. From a young age he worked physical jobs, putting in long hours every day of the week. While his friends were out partying, he kept his focus on long-term goals.

His Lebanese parents gave their children a clear set of rules: work hard, never complain and never give up, no matter how hard life gets. Sam has tried to set that example for his siblings, and he says those values drive everything he builds.

Ontario listings, priced in dollars and Bitcoin

Founded in 2017, Listing.ca brings tens of thousands of active MLS listings into one platform. Buyers and renters can search by city, property type, price, bedrooms and bathrooms. Dedicated pages cover communities across Ontario, including Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Oakville, Hamilton and London.

Homes are only part of the catalogue. Next to condos, townhomes and detached houses, the site carries farm, land, investment, industrial, office and retail properties, as well as businesses for sale. That range serves first-time buyers, growing families, investors and business owners alike.

Every price on the platform appears twice, once in Canadian dollars and once in Bitcoin, so crypto-savvy buyers can see right away what a property costs in digital currency. Sam's goal is simple: help Canadians spend less time searching and more time making confident real estate decisions.

A $10 million home, sold for Bitcoin

Listing.ca is one of several ventures Sam has built around property. BTCHome.ca is for buyers who want to purchase real estate with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Sam has closed that kind of deal himself: he sold a $10 million home in Canada for Bitcoin.

His third company works at the other end of the market. RealEstateBuyer.ca buys run-down homes for cash, renovates them and brings them back to the market.

Flights, hotels and event tickets come next

Sam's next platform will cover flights, hotels and event tickets in one place. He says it will do something no other travel or ticketing company has done before. Beyond that, he is keeping the details private until launch.

Ahead of that launch, Sam wants to connect with Lebanese professionals, entrepreneurs and investors in Canada and around the world. For a founder raised never to give up, travel is the next market where he plans to put that lesson to work.
