Most closets hold pieces that no longer get worn. DOORA, a fashion resale app founded in 2025 and based in Ghazir, gives those pieces a second owner. Users snap a photo, add a few details, and post. Within two months, the app had 11,000 products listed and 5,000 active users.
From an Instagram resale page to Paris and back
Founder and CEO Andrea Tegho started in secondhand fashion in 2019 with an Instagram page reselling clothes from Tegho's own wardrobe and from people nearby. Even then, the secondhand market in Lebanon was clearly growing. Paris came next, for university studies.
In France, resale platforms were turning into some of the country's biggest fashion apps. Tegho was working in luxury fashion at the same time and felt more and more disconnected from an industry built on constant buying. The pull was in the opposite direction: getting people to keep clothes in use for longer.
So Tegho left the luxury sector, came home to Lebanon, and built DOORA.
Snap, post, and wait for the doorbell
On DOORA, every user is both a buyer and a seller. To list an item, you take a photo, add a few details, and post it. There are no selling fees, so the price you set is the amount you receive.
Once something sells, DOORA handles the rest. A team comes to the seller's door to pick up the item and delivers it to the buyer. When the order is completed, the seller is paid instantly and can spend the balance on DOORA or cash it out.
From $1 finds to $5,000 pieces
Buyers get a fashion-first app with features built for discovery. Shoppers can hunt for a specific item, pick up style ideas, or browse unique, quality pieces at accessible prices. Listings cover every style, size, color, and budget, from $1 to $5,000.
Behind it sits a simple bet. If secondhand shopping feels as easy and exciting as buying new, more people will choose it, and clothes will stay in circulation longer.
A runway for pre-loved clothes
DOORA marked its launch with the first ever secondhand fashion show in the MENA region, putting pre-loved pieces on the runway as a real part of fashion culture.
Since then, the team has organized vintage markets, taken part in sustainable fashion startup initiatives and competitions, and kept growing a community around circular fashion.
Lebanon first, then the wider region
"Second-hand is the future of fashion. It brings back personality and individuality while making quality pieces more accessible. DOORA is here to drive that change in the region and make pre-loved fashion desirable," said Tegho.
For now, the focus is on growth in Lebanon, with expansion across MENA as the next step.
