Patchi, the Lebanese chocolate brand known across the Gulf and beyond, has stepped into restaurant dining. The company has opened Le Resto, an all-day casual dining venue in Dbayeh, north of Beirut. The opening was reported in late May 2026.
Le Resto runs as a partnership with chef Youssef Akiki, a Lebanese chef with a long record in fine dining. The venue serves guests from breakfast through dinner, with drinks and desserts available across the day.
What Le Resto Puts on the Table
The menu is built around Mediterranean cuisine, with a focus on fresh ingredients and a modern style of plating. The format sits in the high end casual dining bracket, which means careful food and presentation without formal table service.
The space is set up for a range of visits, from a quick lunch to a longer dinner with friends. Patchi describes the atmosphere as warm, blending comfort with a more polished setting.
The Chef Behind the Kitchen
Akiki is from the mountain village of Hrajel and started cooking at 15. He trained at the Alain Ducasse center and the Ecole Nationale Superieure de Patisserie in France, and did stints at Michelin-starred kitchens including L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in Paris.
In Lebanon he is the founder of brut, a farm-to-table concept focused on Levantine food, and has worked with Beirut's Burgundy restaurant, which earned international recognition during his time there. His name brings kitchen credibility to a brand that built itself on chocolate rather than full menus.
Why Patchi Is Expanding Into Restaurants
For Patchi, Le Resto widens the brand past its core gifting and chocolate business into sit-down hospitality. The move keeps the company's growth inside Lebanon at a time when several local operators are opening new venues despite a tough economy.
Le Resto is now open to guests in Dbayeh, with updates shared through its Instagram account.
